Our facilities
There are three ultrahigh-vacuum (UHV) experimental setups in the department, which include a scanning tunneling microscope (STM) manufactured by JSC Sigma Scan.
• One UHV setup containing LT-STM GPI CRYO (5-300 К) a cylindrical mirror analyzer RIBER OPC-105, and Thermo VG Scientific LEED optics. A high-pressure reactor attached to the main setup allowed introduction of gases up to 10 Torr keeping the sample temperature in the range of 20-3000С.
• Two UHV experimental setups containing a RIBER OPC-200 Auger electron spectrometer (AES), a RIBER OPC-304 four-grid analyzer for low-energy electron diffraction (LEED), an STM Sigma Scan GPI 300, a RIBER Q156 quadrupole mass spectrometer, a gas deposition system, and a sample heating system.
Computational resources:
• VASP software package (Vienna ab-initio simulation package) for density functional theory calculations.
• Server 1 (1 processor, 4 cores); Server 2 (4 processors of 8 cores).
• Access to the computational resources of HPC facilities at HSE University.
